As a watercolour artist I am in constant wonder of how the painting of florals and still life, using the light and transparency of watercolour, can capture the delicacy of nature. The play of light on lush petals, or reflecting off crystal brings me joy. The desire to feel the depth, texture and complexity of each flower opens up the beauty and mystery of every blossom. Portraying this fragility excites me as I capture their jewel like qualities.
There are always more flowers to paint and intimate scenes to marvel at.
